To port graf's VUART drivers to petitboot, i have to rewrite VUART drivers and replace IOCTLs with read/write fs ops.
That will eliminate the problem with 32bit user-space and 64bit kernel-space.

I could add a patch to enable WLAN on PHATs too but you still need the repo node patch from OtherOS++ else it won't work.

not if your firmware supports it, but I would check

To get WLAN working on PHAT i need you to dump repo node value.
I do not have access to a PHAT unfortunately.
You can do it on petitboot with ps3hvc_hvcall.

Make sure you enable gelic WLAN in Linux kernel config.
It's disabled in my config because i don't use it.

mandatory follow HOWTO as NON_ROOT!
1. using FORCE=1 doesn't work, crappy Makefile
2. you should add at first:

All images were tested by me and work fine on my slim (cold and warm boot).
I can boot freebsd and linux from internal HDD without any problems. So they are safe to use and flash.

Linux 3.2.5 is fine too.
Added ps3sed and ps3strgmngr to petitboot and resized my GameOS UFS2 region Very Happy

Testing debootstrap 1.0.38 currently.

could you check what's going wrong with this 3.2.5 petitboot config?
I'm targeting the fat one, it compiles, but on kexec it seems doesn't bring up the net...
and so on: no keyboard, no net, no telnet, no control

I work with telnet, my keyboard is usb-logitech-wireless, not supported... (tried, no luck)
I run all kernels/boot linux via kexec, ever;
I can boot it, after CUI shows up I can't control anything, no access from net, no keyboard;
It's up, but I need an usb keyboard to check dmesg/messages, I've not such one.

DHCP.
A working petitboot also shows up an nfsroot item after bringing up the lan, and I enter via telnet;
Maybe my petitboot's kexec is buggy? (I've in flash your first minimal, kernel 2.6.30)

Should I kexec first my working 3.2.2, then kexec the 3.2.5 one... I've to try

your tiny elf is 3.2.2 and works as mine 3.2.2 (your image don't have wlan);
testing 3.2.5 wont' work, disable petiboot autostart does not bring up video, nothing;
tried kexecing 3.2.5 from working 3.2.2, same issue;
